About Psychology for Families
Psychology for Families is based in Bristol, UK.

The psychology service is for children, young people and their families who may be struggling and need a safe and compassionate space for difficult conversations.
Dr Annabelle Morrison, Clinical Psychologist and founder of Psychology for Families, works with her clients using an integrative therapeutic approach that is informed by attachment theory, systemic family therapy, and dyadic developmental psychotherapy (DDP).
At the heart of the work, is a trusting and compassionate relationship with all her clients.

What is DDP?
Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy is based upon attachment theory and focuses upon the relationships between primary caregivers and their young ones to support a more trusting connection.
The sessions involve exploring the attachment history (how we were parented); the current family dynamics (how we all get along), and explores how and why we think what we do about family life and the problems we face.
Annabelle enjoys using the PACE stance of Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy – although she recognises it is harder than it sounds!
At the centre of Annabelle’s approach is the focus upon a safe and trusting relationship with all her clients.
